More concerts like this please

Talking of fantasy concerts, if the travel budget wasn't overspent we would be off to Ghent on April 21 for Olivier Messiaen between East and West. Daan Vandewalle and Geoffrey Madge are the pianists, Bert Cornelis (above) plays sitar and Sandip Bhattacharya tabla and the venue website explains that there is a pre-concert talk for children. Here is the programme:

Olivier Messiaen
Visions de l'Amens
Canteyodjaya

Traditional
Indian Ragas

Daan Vandewalle was the pianist in my 2007 webcast/broadcast of Alvin Curran's complete Inner Cities. It is good to see that the interview I did with Daan for that programme is one of many resources available on Alvin Curran's personal website. Geoffrey Madge has recorded Kaikhosru Sorabji's four hour long Opus Clavicembalisticum for BIS which I must webcast/broadcast some day. Sorabji talks about programme music here.
