Jon Blake's novel 69ers about the 1969 Isle of Wight Festival has an apposite epigraph:

That cover for 69ers definitely deserves a place on Slipped Disc. But was it actually taken at the 1969 Isle of Wight Festival? Or did it come from the Woodstock Festival which took place two weeks earlier? As Norman would say, never mind the facts, feel the clicks.
