I've grown accustomed to her face

Current appreciations of André Previn by classical music's social media influencers are somewhat surprising in view of the fact he was both male and old. But perhaps they are prompted by his peerless jazz take on My Fair Lady. This was coupled with his equally priceless take on West Side Story on a deleted but worth searching for CD.

A clarification: the recording shown here is not the one coupled with West Side Story on the twofer CD. The My Fair Lady there is from 1956 and has Previn playing in a group led by Shelley Manne. The My Fair Lady in your illustration was recorded 8 years later, sans Manne.
