How Wagner became a pseudo-event

More evidence of how classical music has become a pseudo-event is provided by the new Bayreuth production of Parsifal, which has provoked outrage from a German Archbishop and provided Norman Lebrecht with a veritable feast of click bait. So job done.

Very politically incorrect but nevertheless relevant artwork is from the 1972 Westminster LP of the complete Die Walküre. The graphics from this Westminster series are a wonderful source of visual click bait.
