I read the news today oh boy

Eight hours after the story above was published yesterday On An Overgrown Path, the one below appeared on Slipped Disc*. I now eagerly await Norman Lebrecht's exclusive on the performance by the Al-Tarīqah al Gazoulia Sufi brotherhood at this year's Salzburg Summer Festival.

I haven't personally found an instance of plagiarism so blatant since I was teaching. Here in British Columbia, I'm eight hours ahead of the U.K., which is why I read your post and then the synopsis of Lebrecht's on Music All Top one after t'other. Of course, using All Top I'm able to avoid boosting Norman's readership. Anyway, it could hardly fail to hit me, but as much as it infuriates me (my own print writings were once plagiarised), I take comfort in the thought that many others, even though they too do not 'hit on' Slipped Disc, were gobsmacked by this drop of looting. Norman gets an 'F', bringing his GPA down to 1.8. In short, he gets sent down.
