The greatest music story that never was

When I was writing recently about the Mahler ring tone and reflecting on how classical music is excited about the wrong things my thoughts turned to the Joyce Hatto saga, another episode which created a lot of noise but changed very little. Now we have a Hatto documentary, splashed in the Daily Mail no less and perfect for the twittering classes. Another point of view on Joyce Hatto can be read here.

John Mclaughlin Williams via Facebook - "I still treasure Hatto's recordings of the Symphonic Variations and Sonata No.4 of Bax, which were definitely hers."
