Hi- really enjoy your blog- I seem to always find
something that interests me-
I tried to post a comment on your "NOTABLE STUDENTS OF
MILHAUD" but it didn't take for some reason. I wanted
to mention one important omission from your list-
composer Ben Johnston, who studied with Milhaud at
Mills College for three years after an apprenticeship
with Harry Partch. Hopefully Mr. Johnston will become
more and more notable as the years pass.
thanks, and keep up the fantastic work

I also see that British composer and improvisor Fred Frith, on the Mills College Music faculty since 1999, is now the Luther B. Marchant Chair Professor of Music.
