Full listing of Grammy classical winners - but ....

Many congratulations to Sir Colin Davis, William Bolcom and all the others who won Grammy Awards last night. But shame there was nothing for Ngawang Tashi Bapu's (Lama Tashi) Tibetan Master Chants .

Tremendous achievement for all the winners, but let's put it into perspective. There are actually 108 Grammy categories (of which 13 are classical), and the winner of each gets an award. If you want to print out all the 2006 nominees it takes forty-six sheets of A4 paper. Or as a classical musician once said to me: "There were so many winners even my Grammy got one".
