Unpublished memories of young Mahler

An Israeli website is directing an awful lot of traffic to my 2008 post Young Mahler - encouragement worthwhile? As this is Mahler anniversary year and the little story is only available On An Overgrown Path I thought it worth sharing with everyone.

OAOP jumping on the composer-anniversary bandwagon? For shame!

The comment above popped up as I was looking at the incredibly high traffic volumes on my original young Mahler post.

Which means an awful lot of people are reading about the music of Peter Paul Fuchs and Karl Weigl, and the stats also show that quite a few are listening to the exclusive podcast of Peter Paul Fuchs' Five Miniatures.

If musicians like that are going to get exposure I'll gladly hitch to any bandwagon. Even one that Norman Lebrecht is driving.
